Catholic Song Contest
The Catholic Song Contest, founded in 2021 by Point Clear Media, is a platform that is meant to inspire and challenge Catholic songwriters to work on and improve their craft.
It is an annual contest and in its first year had over 125 entries. The first year was sponsored by PreSonus, Masterwriter, Catholic Community Radio, NOVUM Records, Liturgy Resources.
Three grand prizes are given to the best song in the following categories:
- Best Liturgical or Group Worship Song
- Best Christian Popular Song
- Best Secular Popular Song Informed by the Catholic Faith
We are currently seeking sponsors for the 2022 contest as well as qualified judges who would like to raise the bar of contemporary music written by and written for Catholics.

Catholic Song Podcast
In 2022, Burke Ingraffia, owner of Point Clear Media, began a podcast titled the Catholic Song Podcast which is a weekly series that provides a song prompt and other lessons about writing lyrics and music. This is a combination of lyrical ideas which are based on the day's Mass readings, Saint(s) of the day, or any other aspect of the Catholic faith along with a musical idea of a chord progression and rhythm.
